HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
Affiliate Membership is open to all Medical Doctors (MD) specialised in Dentistry, Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and to Dental practitioners including Oral Health Therapists, Dental Therapists, Health Therapists, Dental Hygienists, Dental Technicians, from any Country registered at their national or local Institute.

WHAT DOES IT COST?
No fee is due for 2021.
For the years 2022-2023 the biennial fee shall be €100.
After this year the annual fee shall be €100/yearly.

There is a second level application for Affiliate Members: Active Membership.
HOW DO I BECOME AN ACTIVE MEMBER?
Active membership is achieved by the dental practitioner who has filed an application to the Academy Membership Committee subsequent to having attended as an Affiliate member a minimum of two meetings (i.e. the biennial “General Meeting” or “General Scientific Congress”), taking place at alternative years, in a period of 2 (two) years.
To apply as an Active Member, an Affiliate Member must meet the following requirements:
- must have a qualification for the dental profession (surgeon, specialist in odontostomatology, dentist-DDS and DMD)
- have been an Affiliated member of the Association for at least two consecutive years
- having participated as Affiliated Member, in the biennial Scientific Congress (“General Scientific Congress”), which takes place in alternating years.
In the presence of the above requirements, he is authorized to submit an application to the Academy’s Membership Acceptance Committee.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
The Active Member fee shall be €450 per year.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
Active Membership in the Academy is a distinctive honour that is bestowed on a Dental practitioner who has notably contributed to the improvement of the field of Dentistry through education, research, literature or clinical practice.
Your IAID Active Membership will allow you, as any Founder Member, to apply to the scientific committee to give a course at any meeting held by IAID.
